All of our tutors hold a bachelor's degree or higher with at least one year of experience in teaching or tutoring. Our tutors also have experience working with children in a behavioral health setting.

At Achieving Growth, we focus on the Growth Mindset. What this states is that the mind can change continually with new information. We believe that someone's status is not fixed. We are actively trying to achieve a change in outlook on life and abilities. We focus on students who may have challenges with behavior or conduct, although we tutor all students.

In order to effectively track growth, we start with an initial survey done by the student, parents/guardians, and teachers. This initial survey helps us to discern where the student is struggling, what their current goals are, and how to achieve those goals. These surveys are administered at specific intervals to track growth and make sure that the conversation continues.

I work with students of all ages, from elementary school to high school level. 

We believe in a personalized approach to tutoring, tailoring our teaching style to each individual student's needs and learning style. However, we all exude patience and understanding. We understand that it can be difficult to learn due to many underlying causes and keep this in mind. What may work for a student one day may not work for them the next. We are forever flexible and consistence in the pursuit of growth.

Although the list is long, we are confident that we can help most students in most subjects. We focus on all subjects offered by public schools, as well as AP courses. We do not have tutors for IB courses at this time.
